We have 3 washers in our guns and they're working good.Īfter you have these parts ready to install it's a good idea to add some washers to a few of the gears, it works as a thrust washer sort to speak, it takes up the clearance within the clamshell assembly and helps keep the gears from walking and trying to climb themselves under load. You can also add a few washers infront of the nylon nuts to increase the preload even more. The nylon spacers are just nylon nuts that fit inside the piston and are 1/4" thickness. The dimensions of the spring are 1/2" O.D(outside Diameter), 1 3/4" Length. This spring is shorter than stock so the spacers allow it to seat inside the assembly properly without falling out, they also add additional preload. In this photo you see the aftermarket spring and nylon spacers used to give the spring the proper preload. Once you get it taken apart you will see the factory spring that sits inside the piston. Here is the assembly with the side cover taken off. This is one of the guns assemblies that TJM put together in the 1st Tiger I got.Įxcuse the blurry photos, I didn't realize my camera was set to macro so if you're not 100% steady it will blurr Since there's alot of interest in upgrading the HL airsoft assembly I thought I'd put up these photos so you guys can see what's needed to mod these to shoot alot harder than stock.
